The Columbia Plateau Clean Cities Coalition is a partnership of public agencies, private companies and entrepreneurs working to promote the use of alternative fuel vehicles in order to lessen our countrys dependence on foreign imports, increase the development of valueadded agricultural products through biofuels industry growth and to improve the air quality of the Columbia Plateau Clean Cities Coalition service area.The Coalition supports alternative fuels as defined by the Energy Policy Act of 1992 and recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy. Through cooperation, Clean Cities members and interested parties seek to extend the AFV refuelingrecharging infrastructure, increase the number of alternative fuel vehicles purchased or converted, and educate the public to the benefits of using alternative fuels.
