Octopart is a search engine that lets you compare the prices and availability of electronic parts across different distributors. It was started by two physics grad students who were tired of searching for identical electronic parts in lots of different catalogs. Our search engine is a work in progress and we appreciate comments and suggestions.Most of the data on the site comes from distributor feeds and is updated in real time as we get it. We do not have an authorized relationship with Allied Electronics, DigiKey, and Future Electronics. Data from these distributors is aggregated from public sources and we dim out availability and pricing information to indicate that it may be out of date.
